Surge Energy is committed to supporting post-secondary students by helping to remove the financial roadblocks that come with completing higher levels of education.
The Surge Energy Scholarship Program supports students in our communities with the intention of strengthening the relationship between the next generation and the Canadian energy industry. Surge is looking to support one woman attending University for Engineering or Geosciences, and two students in rural communities in the areas we operate, including Alberta and Saskatchewan, attending any post-secondary program.
This scholarship program is part of our commitment to generosity, support, and nurturing the talents of future leaders.
The Surge Energy Women in Engineering and Geosciences Scholarship aims to empower and encourage female students to pursue careers in a trade where they are otherwise underrepresented. As industry leaders, we understand the importance of diversity and inclusion, and this scholarship will provide financial support to exceptional female students who demonstrate a passion for engineering.
The Women in Engineering and Geosciences Scholarship will consist of one annual award of $5,000, intended to cover one semester of tuition, ensuring that the recipient has substantial financial support to pursue her education and career goals.
The Surge Energy Local Leaders Scholarship aims to support students from rural communities in Alberta and Saskatchewan who are pursuing higher education. As a company we are deeply rooted in these areas, we understand the importance of investing in the education and development of local talent residing in rural communities.
The Local Leaders Scholarship will consist of two annual awards of $2,500 each, providing deserving students with financial support. By reducing their financial burdens, we hope to encourage these students to focus on their studies and actively contribute to their communities. We hope this support will inspire them to become future leaders, helping to promote sustainable growth and development in the regions where Surge operates.
